In the Netherlands, approximately 7,000 accidents involving household chemicals occur each year. In most cases, the victims are children under the age of 5. By showing a kitchen cabinet through the eyes of a child, we allowed parents to see the potential danger of their everyday household products. The lenticular technique enabled the viewer to switch between a real world view and that of a child.

The Consumer Safety Institute strives to continually increase the safety of all citizens, young and old, by reducing accident-related injuries. The strength of the organisation lies in its ability to educate people in both accident-related information and accident prevention. In doing so, they consider more than just figures; behaviour, the surrounding environment and technology are also taken into account. This combined knowledge is used to create extremely effective campaigns.

Be Careful With The Sugar

Two million Sri Lankans are already reported to be suffering from Diabetes. Another two million are at risk. To create awareness around this issue, we took your average teaspoon and cut slits in it to resemble a fork. As a result, you would have used less sugar, thus decreasing blood sugar levels and the threat of suffering from Diabetes. This teaspoon was distributed across a local chain of restaurants and picked up by national television, enlightening the entire nation on its benefits and how we can prevent the risk of Diabetes.

BBC: Wonderful world

RKCR/Y&R has created a trail paying homage to David Attenborough’s final appearance on the BBC. The 2 minute spot, which was released last night after the final episode of Frozen Planet, shows clips of wildlife footage voiced over by Attenborough saying the lyrics to Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”. The challenge was to create a trail that explicitly showcased the phenomenal content the BBC has brought, and will continue to bring, the nation and to implicitly pay homage to the legend that is Sir David Attenborough.
